For quite some time now, HTML code has been forbidden on forums. But, to give users the ability to include pictures and links in their posts, a substite sysmem has been created - the BB-code. They are practically identical:
[img=http://link] - inserts a picture,
[url=http://link]text[/url] - inserts a link,
[b]text[/b] - makes text bold,
[i]text[/i] - makes text italic,
[u]text[/u] - makes text <>uderlined
